Wax Head

Shacklewell Arms, E8 2EB , [Venue Details]

Drummer-fronted psych-punk quartet Wax Head trade in blistering riffs, noise, and sweat-soaked live shows. Manchester-based, they’re on the frontline of the UK’s growing psych-garage scene.

4 Oct 2025
@7.30pm

Over the past year, the band has toured Europe supporting their latest two single releases and played festivals like Left of the Dial, Manchester Psych Fest, Rockerill Festival, and more.

Released through Sour Grapes Records, their music reflects a DIY ethos and experimental spirit. This gritty blend of garage-punk and psychedelia has been championed by BBC6 tastemakers Steve Lamacq, Emily Pilbeam, and Deb Grant. The latest single, “Terminal Sinker,” even reached US airwaves with a spin on KEXP by Brian Foss.

With more new music coming this September, they’re hitting the road again, bringing heavy noise and unpredictable live shows across the country.
